This has to be one of my favorite listening experiences as a fan of David Bowie and classical guitar. Seu Jorge effortlessly blends some of early-Bowie's best songs with Brazilian guitar sounds. I believe this album contributed to the soundtrack of the Wes Anderson film with the same name, but I haven't seen the movie myself. Speaking on the album, Bowie himself said, “Had Seu Jorge not recorded my songs in Portuguese, I would never have heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with," and I couldn't put it better myself. This album really makes me wish Bowie had gone headfirst into the jazz and bossa nova sounds this album showcases. It's just such a good vibe.
