2/10. David Bowie's debut album is a weird listen. It's completely different than the rest of his discography. It's still experimental but has these interesting folk undertones. It is super playful with nonsensical and whimsical lyrics, with these horns throughout (which I find pretty delightful). My favorites of this album are Sell Me a Coat, Come and Buy My Toys, and Please Mr. Gravedigger. This is not an essential listen, but it is interesting to see where David Bowie began, given the creative heights he would reach later in his career.
