Espresso

What is to be said about espresso that hasn’t been already? Easily the most versatile form of coffee, delicious with or without milk. A good manual espresso machine is the best way to have a little fun making coffee at home on a budget. Though it requires a good grinder and a little more skill than your average espresso machine, the flair makes espresso beyond the quality of some machines twice its price. Though it’s technically not required, I still like to preheat the brew chamber on my kettle before I brew. I’ll use 20g of a medium or a medium-dark roast, aiming for an extraction time of 35 seconds. I’ll usually drink it with milk as more of a cortado-style drink, but sometimes I’ll drink it straight, and it’s delicious both ways!
